Today, Many messages are being held out openly to anyone who can hear. The person who speaks the loudest or sounds the smartest is the person who everyone listens to. Young people today are taught to listen to those messages, but not to share any of their own. It's not often that youth are given the proper voice to shout, and when they are- what kind of message are they sharing? The predicament of communication today is dire.
That is why what the Institute for Cultural Communicators (ICC) teaches is so important. ICC trains today's young people (ages 6 to 19) how to communicate authentically and effectively for Christ. It also provides all Christian students with the competence and character that they need to do it. The way ICC does that ranges from training events (Both Locally, Nationally and Internationally), to the local chapter program.
As Christian students, we have the most important message to share, and when someone asks us "for a reason for the hope that is in [us]"(1 Peter 3:15), we want to be able to answer. And we want to be able to answer well.
